A Grandmother-Themed Bridal Party Menu

A Grandmother-Themed Bridal Party Menu

A collaboration with Horseonbreak

When Horseonbreak invited me to design a menu for a grandmother-themed bridal party, I immediately loved the idea. It was nostalgic, playful, and full of personality. I somewhat knew the bride through a mutual friend, which made the process feel more personal. I began thinking about her warm, vibrant personality to settle on a colour palette of vintage-leaning reds, deep blues, and earthy greens. I wanted it to feel like something you might find tucked inside an old recipe book.

Projects like this remind me that design is storytelling. Even something as simple as a menu can hold warmth, humour, and character when created with intention. And in this case, the story was about friendship, womanhood, warmth, and celebration — told through five illustrated grandmothers and a carefully chosen palette.

I love working on projects that carry personality and narrative. The more story there is, the better.
